Facts: what does FAST do with your personal information?
Why?
Financial companies choose how they share your personal information. Federal law gives consumers the right to limit some but not all sharing. Federal law also requires us to tell you how we collect, share and protect your personal information.
What?
The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include:
- Name, address, Social Security number and date of birth
- Income, employment history and account balances
- Assets, credit history and payment history
- Information from third parties such as credit bureaus, employers and government agencies
How?
All financial companies need to share customers' personal information to run their everyday business. Below we list the reasons companies can share, the reasons FAST chooses to share, and whether you can limit that sharing.

What we do
How does FAST protect my personal information?
To protect your personal information from unauthorised access and use we use security measures that comply with federal law. These include:
- Encryption of sensitive data in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256)
- Access controls limiting information to employees and service providers who need it
- Physical, electronic and procedural safeguards meeting federal standards under the FTC Safeguards Rule
- Regular monitoring and testing of our security systems
How does FAST collect my personal information?
We collect your personal information, for example, when you complete a mortgage application through the platform or a partnered broker, give us employment or income information, provide information for a credit report, or use our online services. We also collect it from others, such as credit bureaus and other companies.
Why can't I limit all sharing?
Federal law gives you the right to limit only sharing for affiliates' everyday business purposes (information about your creditworthiness), affiliates using your information to market to you, and sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you. State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights.
Definitions
- Affiliates — companies related by common ownership or control. FAST does not currently have affiliates that receive your personal information.
- Nonaffiliates — companies not related by common ownership or control. FAST does not share your personal information with nonaffiliates for marketing purposes.
- Joint marketing — a formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies to market products together. FAST does not engage in joint marketing arrangements.
Your rights
- Access the personal information we hold about you by contacting privacy@usefast.ai
- Correct inaccurate personal information via your loan officer or privacy@usefast.ai
- Request deletion, subject to our legal retention obligations
- Receive a paper copy of this notice at any time on request
State privacy rights
California. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete and opt out of the sale of personal information. FAST does not sell personal information. Contact privacy@usefast.ai for California requests.
Vermont. We will not share your personal information with nonaffiliated third parties other than as permitted by Vermont law, which provides greater protection than federal law.
Nevada. Nevada residents may opt out of the sale of their personal information. FAST does not sell personal information.
Changes to this notice
We reserve the right to update this notice at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated notice in the platform at your next login and by email to the address associated with your account. The date at the top reflects the last update.
